What this site covers

Duel Studio Classic is a free, unofficial fan tool for building and testing decks from older Japanese Duel Masters formats. It is operated by one player under the handle Meshi and is not affiliated with the game’s rights holders.

The app currently recognizes four community formats: Base (DM-01 through DM-05, the relevant DMC-01 through DMC-04 decks, and period promos), Classic 05 (the Base pool plus releases through DM-16 and 2005 period cards), Classic 08 (the 05 pool plus releases through DM-30 and 2008 period cards), and 1405 (primarily DM-01 through DMR-12 under the May 24, 2014 Hall of Fame list).

Base, 05, and 08 use a 40-card main deck. 1405 uses a separate 40-card main deck and an optional Super-Dimensional Zone of up to eight cards. Psychic creatures and the Super-Dimensional Zone are not part of Classic 08.

1. Enter as a guest or sign in

  1. Open the login page from the site’s main call-to-action.
  2. Select ゲストとして使ってみる to try the deck builder without an account.
  3. Guest decks are stored in that browser. Clearing site data, changing browsers, or changing devices can make them unavailable, so guest mode should be treated as a trial.
  4. Use Appleでサインイン, Googleでログイン, or the existing X-user link when you want account-backed storage and supported community features.

Signing in and guest storage are different save locations. Before clearing browser data, confirm that the decks you need are visible under the account you intend to keep using.

2. Build the first 40 cards

  1. Choose a regulation tab. The search pool can be switched among Base, 05, 08, and 1405.
  2. Search across the full text. The standard search covers card names, readings, rules text, and flavor text. The filter panel narrows by civilization, cost, race, set, and other attributes.
  3. Add cards by tapping or dragging. The builder prevents a fifth copy of the same card name. It can temporarily display more than 40 main-deck cards, but the count is shown as a violation until you return to a legal size.
  4. Read the automatic badge. Instead of a row of three yes/no marks, the current screen shows one detected regulation badge based on the cards’ original release range.
  5. Review the statistics. Civilization counts, card types, the mana curve, and the number of shield triggers are displayed above the deck.

Changes are saved automatically after editing pauses. A save failure is reported on screen. The sort menu offers cost, civilization, card type, and manual order; the selected order is also saved with the deck.

In 1405, psychic cards are placed in the separate Super-Dimensional Zone rather than mixed into the 40-card main deck. The screen checks the main-deck count, the eight-card maximum, Hall of Fame restrictions, and prohibited combinations.

3. Test it in Solo Play

One-deck Solo mode is for repeating opening hands and checking your own sequence. Two-deck mode places one deck at the top and one at the bottom so one person can operate both sides. This local mode is separate from the online simulation feature.

  • Tap a card to switch its tapped state.
  • Press and hold to open card details and zone-move shortcuts.
  • Drag cards between the hand, mana, battle, shield, graveyard, and library areas.
  • Use END to move to the next turn; the next side is untapped and draws one card automatically.
  • Use the library or graveyard viewer when a card effect needs information from those zones.

Some registered card effects have guided processing, while unsupported effects remain manual. The tool does not invent an effect for an unsupported card; follow the printed text and move the relevant cards yourself.
